Mission:

To create access to a broad array of diverse art forms and to encourage the expanding depth and breath of cultural life in Ocean Springs and along the Gulf Coast.

 

 Selected as one of the "Southeast Tourism Society’s" Top 20 Events!

 Its a fun event great for the whole family!

Park n’ Ride- free transportation available, thanks to the YMCA, from the Ocean Springs High school and Oak Park Elementary, both located by Government St. and Holcomb Blvd.

Festival t-shirts will be available at the L&N Depot located at 1000 Washington Avenue, prior to the event and during the festival at all entrance booths.

2007 Events Includes:

Walter Anderson Museum of Art
Children’s activities throughout the weekend and a performance by the Gulf Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra on Saturday, November 3 at 11 a.m. on the grounds of WAMA’s Art Cottage. (Located across the street from the Museum).

An Introspective Mind:  The “Mac” Anderson Centennial Exhibition- Exhibit on display at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art through January 13, 2008. Exhibit, “Local Son” Pottery and Paintings by Christopher Stebly” on display in the Jo Love Little Gallery through January 27, 2008. 

Marshall Park - Music each day, - Live, local music with tables and chairs for seating.

Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center - Located at 1600 Government Street includes an Art Gallery.

St. Alphonsus Fall Festival – November 3-4 on the Church grounds. Saturday includes hotdogs, tacos, SHRIMP BREAD, and gumbo cookoff.  Children booths and activities.  Sunday includes live entertainment, edible sand art, BBQ plate or chicken gumbo, & seating.

36th Annual Ocean Springs Art Association - exhibit and sale in the Community Center at 510 Washington Avenue.

“Best in Show” - Brian Nettles of Pass Christian for his unique pottery.



“Award of Excellence” - Keith Rueckert, first time exhibitor, for his turnec wood art vessels.



“Peter Anderson Legacy Award” - Bruce Odell of Louisiana for his unique wheel thrown textured and expanded pottery.



“Award for Creative Arts” - Frank Ledbetter for his handcrafted metal sculptures and multimedia pieces.
